MÚLAFOSSUR, FAROE ISLANDS
CREATED BY GUNNAR RAGNARSSON - JULY 29 2019
Múlafossur is the most iconic location in the Faroe Islands. It is located in Gásadalur on the island of Vágar. There is a lot of beautiful vantage points at this waterfall, but the classic view point is at the bottom of the hill close to the stairs. When I took this photo it was really windy and there was fog at the top of the mountain. I would recommend a wide angle lens for this location. I was using 18mm (27mm on my Fujifilm) lens. If you have a wider lens I would defiantly recommend that because then you can capture more of the scene. If you have a wider lens then you could capture the waterfall and Mykines in one frame. I used a 1.2 (4Stop) ND filter to get 1” exposure to get the waterfall just like I wanted. This is definitely my favourite location in the Faroe Islands so far and I will visit this location again.
